Come to Palm Springs, California and enjoy a fun weekend of camaraderie with other naked men! Get in touch with your body and your spirit with a friendly group of men. The weekend features our signature naked figure drawing, plus a naked hike in the desert, and naked yoga. We’ll be staying at the world-famous, clothing-optional men’s resort, INNdulge. Shungaboy, artist and organizer of Men’s Naked Drawing Group NY, is organizing and leading this retreat. The core dates of the weekend are Friday, Sept 29 to Sunday, Oct 1, with an optional day on Thursday, Sept 28 for those who want to start the weekend early! Additionally, INNdulge has a special offer for attendees (see below).
NAKED FIGURE DRAWING
Our signature activity is naked figure drawing, where we take turns posing for each other. You don’t have to be an “artist.” Absolute beginners are most welcome. Shungaboy will provide one-on-one drawing instruction to anyone who wants guidance. Unlike traditional drawing groups, where the model is naked and the artists are clothed, in our group, everyone is naked. Since both the model and the artists are naked, everyone is on an equal footing, which encourages a camaraderie not found in traditional groups. Additionally, since we take turns posing for each other, this is an opportunity for you to be a model! Experience is not required. Shungaboy will help you create your pose. You don’t have to pose, but it’s empowering and a lot of fun! Sketchpads and pencils will be provided; feel free to bring your own art materials. These photos are from our camping trips and our NYC studio, but imagine doing this poolside!
NAKED HIKE IN THE DESERT
Take off your clothes and commune with nature in the California desert! Local members of the Naked Hiking in Palm Springs hiking club will lead a morning hike in the desert. If it’s not too hot, we can do some figure drawing or a mini-photo shoot (optional) during a break on the hike.
NAKED YOGA
Loosen up your muscles and joints in the warm desert air! Local yoga instructor Stephen will lead a naked, beginner-level yoga class poolside. Yoga mats will be provided.
Stephen has been teaching in the valley for 14 yrs. He is a Yoga Alliance-registered instructor with over 850 hours of training in vinyasa flow, iyengar yoga, hot yoga, yin yoga, and aerial yoga. Other trainings include functional fitness, TRX, water fitness, barre above, and massage therapy. Stephen’s classes are dynamic, personal, and challenging. He delivers his message in a light-hearted manner and encourages everyone to work towards his own personal goals.
